Dear Emily, Dave, John, Clay, "Indian", Gladys, Mikela, Mark,
Cindy, Chuck, Jim Bob, Snoop, Gypsy, Winchester and Ace,
Whew! Didn't know if I could get all the names on one page! I'm hopeful that I
didn't inadvertently omit anyone!
I want "all y'all" (as we say in the South). to know how very much I enjoyed
the last week with White oak Outfitters including each and every one of you.
I didn't know what to expect. But, I do know that all of you are the reasons
that whatever expectations I might have had were far, far exceeded. You welcomed
us, especially Jeff and me as newcomers, into your world as if we were Beck family
members.
It just doesn't get any better than that.
As Jeff and I waited for you, Emily, to meet us last Friday, we realized the immense
peace and tranquility there at the end of the pavement. The country has a beauty
all its own and it certainly allowed us to de-pressurize. Jeff's blood
pressure went low and I recovered my voice which often goes missing here
in our world. I guess it's true that we just don't recognize the stress
under which we function in our everyday lives. But certainly, there was
no stress last week other than missing a few shots! I'll take that stress any day!
To say that our hunt was successful would be a gross understatement. Ninety-three
birds in three days is the stuff of legends! Heidi from the processor in
Colome called yesterday to verify the shipping information and the birds
will be shipped probably next Monday. I'm planning a feast!
We're planning our re-visit during 2007 pheasant season. I've talked my son, Brian, and
my former boss and dear friend, James, and Michael has ok'd their presence with the
group next year.
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas and once again, thank you for one of the most memorable times of my life. I look forward to as many more as are possible!

We really enjoyed our pheasant hunt this past Thanksgiving. The food was so delicious
and your family always does their best to put on a good hunt. The last day
we had to go the 12's to get the birds because of the wind, and the boys
let us use theirs.
We have not been treated as well anywhere else that we have gone.

have ever experienced! The excellent and memorable turkey hunting experiences were exceeded
only by the very warm brand of hospitality extended to our hunters by the Beck family. Your
lodge is beautiful and extremely comfortable. Your beautiful lands and the rolling hills of
Northern Nebraska are fantastic. The food was delicious. Your entire staff were the finest ladies
and gentlemen we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Your guides were perfect gentlemen in
every sense of the word - and worked hard for our enjoyment than we really deserved. Except
during my time in the service during World War II, I have turkey hunted every year starting in
1942 - and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of those turkey hunts! However, without

way even if I hadn't shot the biggest turkey that I have ever killed. My special thanks to Charlie,

Just a note to thank you for your warm hospitality on our recent turkey hunt. You were all so
kind to my son and me. Don thoroughly enjoyed hunting with your son, John. I'm sure he
